Rohit Shetty’s love for high-end cars van be gauged by the usage of such cars in the director’s films. The filmmaker not only loves to fly SUVs in movies, but is also known for owning several cars. The latest addition to his fleet of SUVs is the Lamborghini Urus, which the director recently brought home.
The Lamborghini Urus costs Rs 3 crore (ex-showroom price) and is owned by only a few rich people in India. In the market of high-end cars, the Italian exotic SUV has recently become extremely popular in India with over 50 units of the cars sold in a year.
Rohit Shetty recently took delivery of his bright yellow Lamborghini Urus from the automaker’s Mumbai dealership. The store shared a picture of the filmmaker with his new priced possession on social media.
The list of interesting cars owned by Rohit Shetty includes Ford Mustang, Range Rover Sport, Maserati GranTurismo Sport and more.
The Simmba director recently revealed that the cars that survive the chase and explosion scenes in his films end up in his basement and are taken out for a drive from time to time.
In an interview with Hindustan Times, Rohit Shetty said that he doesn’t discard a single one of the cars he uses in his films. He said, “They are all with me. Of course, if a car has crashed [in the film], then we can’t do anything. But we try to keep the rest of the cars. We sometimes use these again in the next films, but otherwise they just stay in the basement. It’s becoming like a museum. Sometimes I take them out for a spin.”
On the work front, Rohit Shetty is currently busy with his next film Sooryavanshi with Akshay Kumar. Sooryavanshi expands Rohit Shetty’s cop universe that has films like Singham, Singham Returns and Simmba. While Ajay Devgn was seen playing the lead role in the first two films, Ranveer Singh played the entertaining cop in Simmba, which was released in 2018.
